oMg so many piles of stuff
"I always wanted one of those." For probably 38 of my 47 years, I have been a collector. Of all things. As a ten-year-old in suburban Chicago, I'm quite sure I was the only kid on the block who collected antique clay marbles, tobbacciana, and militaria along with Spiderman comics and Star Wars figures. I've had a subscription to Smithsonian since I was 11. I have always been driven to find and obtain the best of any given subject which happens to strike my fancy at the time. I'm curious about everything, often the more obscure the better. I love things that are rare, exotic, and/or authentic, that have a story behind them. Maybe it's my OCD showing its colors, but once I learn about something, I have to go out and put that knowledge to use by "stalking my prey," so to speak. And now my wife, well, you know the rest. I haven't stopped collecting, and won't stop collecting. Like my wife says, "Hager, it's never ending." I like the historical education from exploring ephemera, and the thrill o' the hunt, too much. So, since space is finite, my wife and I have decided that as things come in, things have to go. And we've opened this here little store to keep the door revolving on the collection. Do not expect any rhyme or reason; there will be everything under the sun, but rest assured all very interesting. And there will usually be several (or more) related items (often fruits of the hunt prior to finding the "Holy Grail") if you care to partake more fully. So here it is, our little shop of curios.

Here's a little more backstory on our shop. Ginger used to be in construction sales. We had our first kiddo, and she got laid off, right when the economy collapsed in '08. Brett used to be a litigation attorney, but that finally took a brutal toll on him. Being the one good egg in a sea of monsters will weary the soul. But, life's unknown twists and turns also afford opportunities for new growth. So life dealt us this deck of cards and this is the hand we're playing. We are preparing to move to Minnesota so would really like to pare down the shop before we do! We have many more things from antiques to militaria to vintage toys, lots of Kenner and LFL Star Wars, MOTU, GI Joe, vintage space toys, tin toys Atari, Nintendo, etc. A lifetime of collecting that needs to be rehomed! If you have something in mind that you don't see, feel free to contact us as we might have it or be able to find it for you. Also, we try our hardest to price our items fairly and reasonably. We also try our hardest to represent condition accurately and to not "overbake the cake" on actual versus represented condition. If you ever feel an item is listed at too high a price, please feel free to ask if we would consider a lower offer. Often times we do. We really like to make people happy, and rehoming all of this wonderful collection really puts a smile on our face. We also love to know the backstory on your purchase and to get to know our customers as friends. We look forward to sharing our nerdliness with all of you!
