Aunt Elsie lived until she was 103. She lived with all of her siblings and took care of her parents until they passed. She was the last of her generation. It was her job to take care of all of the family belongings and she did that right up until we had to sell her house at the age of 100. It took almost two years to go through her three story, 5 bedroom house. She saved everything, and I mean everything, torn pantyhose to be used as something someday, bags of breads bags to be used someday... you name it.
It took family coming to get furniture, neighbors and friends to get items and three auction houses for the rest. I saved as much as I could and now it's time for them to be passed on to folks who love vintage.
Thanks so much for reading the story of Aunt Elsies Estate.
