Creative Identity, opgericht in 1996, is een 501 (c) (3) non-profit therapuetische muziek- en expressieve kunstdagprogramma dat volwassenen van 18 jaar en ouder, met intellectuele en ontwikkelingsstoornissen in Orange County, Californië, bedient. Onze erkenning is gebaseerd op de fundamentele overtuiging dat muziek en de expressieve kunsten positieve verandering kunnen bevorderen op alle niveaus van menselijke gezondheid, welzijn en ontwikkeling kunnen bevorderen.
Bij Creative Identity bieden we het hele jaar door onderwijs en mentoring in de expressieve kunsten via ons Onsite and Community Expressive Arts-programma. Het Expressive Arts-programma gaat op afstand door tijdens de COVID-19-pandemie. Via ons programma krijgen personen met intellectuele en ontwikkelingsstoornissen de mogelijkheid om hun artistieke vaardigheden en vaardigheden te ontwikkelen en een opdracht als kunstenaar te verdienen door de verkoop van hun kunstwerken en keramische waren op lokale kunsttentoonstellingen en ambachtsbeurzen in Orange County. Door onze studenten de mogelijkheid te bieden om zich creatief uit te drukken met behulp van een breed scala aan kunstmedia en deelname aan de gemeenschap aan te moedigen, breiden onze studenten niet alleen hun artistieke en creatieve mogelijkheden uit en ontwikkelen ze belangrijke pre-beroeps- en levensvaardigheden, maar ontwikkelen ze ook een gemeenschappelijke dialoog met de bredere gemeenschap die aantoont dat ze creatieve en bijdragende leden van de samenleving zijn.
Founded in 1996, Creative Identity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit therapuetic music and expressive arts day program that serves adults, 18 years of age and older, with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Orange County, California. Our orgniazation is based on the fundamental belief that music and the expressive arts can promote positive change on all levels of human health, well-being, and foster development.
At Creative Identity, we offer year-round education and mentoring in the expressive arts through our Onsite and Community Expressive Arts Program. The Expressive Arts Program is continuing remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through our program, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are provided the opportunity to develop their artistic skills and abilities and earn a commission as an artist through the selling of their artwork and ceramic ware at local art exhibitions and craft fairs around Orange County. By providing our students with the opportunity to creatively express themselves using a wide variety of art media and encouraging community participation, our students not only expand their artistic and creative potentials and develop important pre-vocational and life skills, but also develop a common dialogue with the wider community demonstrating that they are creative and contributing members of society.
