One of the things I love about being an artist is that I not only see this potential in everything around me, but have the ability to transform it. I see raw material not just for what it currently is, but for what it can be.
This act of transforming material into the optimal version of my mind’s humble vision involves a beautiful balance – of spiritual connection, hard work, and dedication.

Each piece of paper and slab of wood that I use for my creations is a wonderful gift from nature. To ensure that future generations can also experience and appreciate this wonder, I have committed to donate money to the organization "One Tree Planted," allowing a new tree to be planted for every item sold through my Etsy shop.

A little more about me:
David Master, BFA, MBA, is an award winning artist with a diverse background in the arts, social services, and business. Just like his multi-faceted interests, his artistic styles vary greatly, ranging from surreal narratives to abstract figures.
He has been interested in art from a young age, selling his first sculpture at just 11 years old. He has a true passion for creating new things and for pushing the envelope with his artistic endeavors, having created hundreds of drawings and paintings and over 1000 sculptures (and counting).
His intention is not to tell you a story with his narrative artwork, but rather to give you, the viewer, a starting point to tell your own story.
He currently resides in Brooklyn, NY with his wife, Elana.

We wanted something original and made out of wood because wood has a much warmer feeling than a piece of metal or paper. Our friends absolutely loved the gift, they were brought to tears when they read the beautiful engraving. The quality of the artwork was astounding, a real gem! We cannot thank David Master enough for this fine piece of art which will live on our friends walls in their home forever.
