Formveld makes seamless digital papers and printable sashiko patterns.

Every design is drawn from an exact geometric rule set - a thread count, a grid, a traditional motif - so the repeat is precise and each sheet tiles edge to edge without a visible join.

Digital papers come as 12 x 12 in PNG at 300 DPI. Sashiko patterns come as PDF in both A4 and US Letter so they print at actual size wherever you are, plus SVG for cutting machines.

Why Formveld exists

Most pattern packs start with a drawing. A motif is drawn or traced, then copied, then the edges are retouched until the seam stops showing.

Formveld starts with the rule instead. A tartan is a thread count - a sequence of coloured threads. Hitomezashi sashiko is an exact 5 mm grid. Asanoha, seigaiha and shippou are compass-and-ruler constructions that have been repeated for centuries.

When you draw from the rule, the repeat is exact and the tiling is seamless by construction. Nothing is retouched, because nothing needs to be.

That is the whole idea. It is why every sheet here tiles without a join, and why the printable patterns come out at true size on your printer.
