My name is Lena Ost and I come from a small northern country called Estonia. As a small country we try to preserve and cherish craftsmanship, thus give it from generation to generation.
From early childhood I loved art and craftsmanship, I was always knitting, crocheting, doing embroidery and sewing. My current passion is felting: textile, wool, as well as, natural minerals and gems. Craftsmanship of felting allows to create timeless pieces of clothing and accessories without harmful effect on nature nor cruelty to animals. We try to preserve nature, as 60% of Estonia consist of National Parks.
So I would like to share the craftsmanship of felting with you, as felting in my opinion is an innovative process of fabric creation, supporting sustainable development and unveil all the advantages of this wonderful craftsmanship itself.
