I’m Kristen Woollery, a Brooklyn-born, D.C.–based artist whose work celebrates the strength, beauty, and spirit of Black womanhood.

Studio Woollery is the working studio of my fine art practice. Here, I share studio works, prints, and thoughtfully designed objects created alongside my larger gallery collections. This space offers a more intimate, accessible view into my ongoing practice, while my primary collections and major works live on my gallery website at kristenWoollery.com.

My work is guided by ancestral memory, cultural storytelling, and purpose; rooted in my Trinidadian heritage, my faith, and the women and communities that raised and shaped me. Each portrait emerges from a deep connection to lineage and belief, using color, abstraction, and form to honor resilience, presence, and complexity without the need for explanation.

Alongside original paintings, I collaborate with a professional giclée printing studio to produce museum-quality canvas and paper art prints from my original, copyright-protected works. Every print is created using archival materials to ensure longevity, vibrancy, and care for each collector.

My hope is that the work you find here brings warmth, affirmation, and a sense of belonging into the spaces it enters.
