Single replacement slat for a louvered dryer vent or bathroom exhaust vent.

Manufactured via fusion deposition modeling, this 3D printed replacement slat is produced from Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG, same material as disposable drinking bottles).

Suitable where conditions do not exceed 185°F. PETG has a higher temperature resistance than vinyl(the plastic used in house siding), which begins to deform at 145°. With the temperature of a clothes dryer averaging 137° at the exhaust of the dryer itself, this part should restore, possibly improve, and potentially provide a more long lasting and durable repair of your louvered dryer vent.

Currently the most common slat sizes are selectable when checking out, with an additional option for “CUSTOM” incase your slat differs. If your slat is different, simply include the dimensions when checking out as a “note to seller”. Two options exist for checking out with a custom order. Custom (less than 6") and Custom (more than 6").

Due to significantly increased time and materials associated with larger sizes, slats measuring longer than 6" peg to peg will incur an additional $2.00 fee. Maximum print volume is 11.5", so I will be unable to accommodate slats with a peg to peg measurement that is longer.

A list of custom sizes produced in the past will be at the bottom of this listing, if you find yours matches a custom size, simply copy and paste those dimensions into the “note to seller” box when checking out. When providing measurements, I can work with either Imperial or Metric.

To determine what slat size will work best for you, included in this listing are several photos illustrating the best ways to take accurate measurements of your existing slats. If using a tape measure, start your measurement at the 1 foot mark, as it provides a good clear precise mark for "zero".
It helps if the tape measure is extended far enough out past the slat that you're able to easily hold down the tape to the surface you're measuring on, reducing parallax error in reading the measurement. If you'd like to take photos and send them to me for interpretation, I'd be happy to determine what size you need.
Three measurements are required to produce a slat, those are: Total slat width including pegs, total slat width without pegs, and total slat height. The diameter of the pegs is fairly standard, but if you have a diameter that is not 3/32", please let me know that as well.

The slat can be sanded and painted to match existing exterior. The photos in this listing include a replacement slat that has been in use for more than 12months. Located in the Chicagoland area, and in full sun exposure, the blue painted slat has endured outdoor temperatures ranging from below 0°F through 100°F. The dryer attached to pictured vent is located ~10’ from exhaust. No deformation of replacement slat has been noted.

By purchasing this listing, the buyer accepts that these slats are not constructed to original manufacturer material specifications, therefore inspection of your dryer and associated components is still required on a regular basis.
