Matching Additional Leather Belt Loops / Keepers

Select Colour and Belt / Bag Strap Width the Loop (also known as a Keeper) is intended to fit.

Sizes are in millimeters (rounded to nearest 1/16, 1/8, 1/4 or 1/2 inch).

Once we receive your order we will make a loop to fit the Belt Width / Bag Strap Width you have selected. i.e. If you select '40mm' we will make a loop to fit a 40mm wide Belt or Bag Strap.

We allow for two strap layers - Please see further down the page for more details on the strap thicknesses we allow for.

N.B. These loops are made to slide onto an existing belt or bag strap etc.

The leather loops do not unclip – i.e. the two ends are joined by a fixed rivet.

Instructions:

Measure the width of your belt and select the desired ‘Colour’ and ‘Belt Width’ from sizes offered on the drop down list.

The 'Belt Width' Size is shown in Millimeters with an Inch conversion shown in brackets. (THESE CONVERSIONS HAVE ALSO BEEN LISTED BELOW - SCROLL DOWN TO VIEW THESE)

We will then make a loop with a circumference that will accommodate the width of the belt you have selected.

N.B. The sizes we provide are not the diameter of the loop.

Loop diameters are always wider than the belt width as they must be able to slide over two layers of the belt and must also accommodate the width of the belt or strap it is intended for.

We use Millimeters to describe belt / strap widths but if you require the size in Inches then we have given a rounded approximation on the drop down box and below to help you visualize the sizes we use.

Dimensions we use to make our loops

1.LOOPS/ KEEPERS Made for Belts and Straps OVER 28mm (1 1/8") Wide:

Loops made for belt and bags straps that are 28mm (1 1/8") wide and over are made to accommodate two layers of leather that are approximately 3.5 - 4mm thick for each layer i.e. a maximum of approximately 8mm ( 5/16" ) thick for two layers.

2.LOOPS/ KEEPERS Made for Belts and Straps UNDER 28mm (1 1/8") Wide:

Loops made for belt and bags straps that are under 28mm (1 1/8") wide are made to accommodate two layers of leather that are approximately 3 mm (1/8") thick for each layer i.e. a total of approximately 6mm (1/4") thick for two layers.

We use the above measurements as we have found them to be the average size for most belts and bag straps.

If your belt or strap differs to the average measurements we use to make our loops or you need the loop to accommodate more or less than two layers then you may need to size up or down to allow for this difference.

The width of the leather strips that we use to form the loops are as follows:

Loops made to fit belts that are 10mm (3/8") - 25mm (1") Wide - The Leather strips that we use to form the loops are 10mm (3/8") wide.
Loops made to fit belts that are 28mm (1 1/8") -35mm (1 3/8") Wide - The Leather strips that we use to form the loops are 12mm (1/2") wide.
Loops made to fit belts that are 38mm (1 1/2") Wide and above - The Leather strips that we use to form the loops are 16mm (5/8") wide.

i.e. The strips of leather are formed into loops and will accommodate the width of the belt selected from the drop down list. i.e. If you select 30mm (1 3/16") we will make a loop to fit a 30mm (1 3/16") wide belt and the strip of leather used to make this loop will be 12mm (1/2") wide.

This leather is tanned using only natural plant extracts which are not harmful to mankind and the environment.

It is long lasting and will develop a patina with age.

By wearing products made with vegetable tanned leathers you can feel good about contributing to a cleaner and safer environment.

Its by-products are also easily recycled.

Handy Tip:

If you require an additional leather belt loop to be positioned someway around your waist when wearing trousers then the following is the best way to achieve this:

Hold the leather loop in position against your trousers waist band where you intend to use it. Slide the belt through the first trouser loop(s) and then the additional leather loop whilst holding it in position against your trousers and then through the remaining 'trouser loops' . You will then find that you do not need to pass the free sliding leather loop through the restricted area of the 'trouser loops' as it will already be in the correct position on your waistband.

All our belt sizes are measured from the 'Return' up to the first and last hole. The 'Return' is where the belt strap meets/folds over the buckle. i.e. Belt Size M (34-38) measures 34 inches from the 'Return' to the first hole and 38 inches from the 'Return' to the last hole. The last hole is nearest to the tip end of the belt. The tip end is usually about another 4 inches. All buckle sizes vary but add between another inch or two depending on buckle design.

Measure one of your own belts from the ‘Return’ to the hole you use to fasten your belt, then use this measurement to select one of our belts that has this measurement within its size range. Make sure that your own belt has no stretch as this could result in an inaccurate measurement.

All orders placed between 20th October and 31st December can be returned up to the 31st January the following year subject to our usual Terms and Conditions namely that the items must not be used or worn and returned in new condition. This allows you to buy Christmas Presents without the worry of exchanges or refunds after Christmas.

Returns:

Exchanges:

We can only offer Exchanges to our U.K. customers. If you reside outside of the U.K. and require a different item to the one you have received then please return the item for a refund and place a new order.

*Exceptions Regarding Returns and Exchanges (this applies to all customers):

If an item is customized (i.e. bespoke, made to measure or personalized) then we cannot accept returns or exchanges on these items as they are non standard and cant be resold.

Delivery Times are Estimated. Parcels can sometimes take a little longer than the estimated times provided especially during the festive seasons. Working / Business days are Monday to Friday. We are also closed on UK Bank Holidays and other UK Public Holidays. Orders placed between Christmas and New Year (24th December - 1st January) may also be dispatched after New Year due to the limited postal services available. Please contact us if you need anything urgently and if at all possible we will do our best to assist you.

We take up to three Business days to process your order and then we despatch your order via the method you have selected. Bespoke orders may take longer to process than three working days depending on the product ordered.

Belts sent to UK addresses we use Royal Mail Tracked 48. Small items such as belt loops we use Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter Post. Upgrades to 1st Class, Tracked 24 or Special Delivery are available at Checkout.

Customers Based In USA:

All parcels (including low value orders since December 26th 2023) are sent via Royal Mail International Fully Tracked Service and delivered In the USA by USPS Fully Tracked Service.

EUROPE / Rest of World:

For Most Parcels we use Royal Mail

Small items such as belt loops we use Standard International Airmail. For higher value orders we use International Tracked (or Signed For) services. For most countries these are usually delivered by your domestic postal service.

If you would like to place a large order then we can offer such a service however these orders can take longer to prepare and we do not accept returns on larger wholesale/ commercial orders. i.e. If we receive an order for a large number of belts that are for commercial purposes then the usual consumer Terms and Conditions are not applicable.
