For double matting order, please indicate the following on the additional order:

1. Select matboard exterior dimensions based on frame size.

2. Choose interior dimensions for window cutout based on artwork size.

Example: For a 16x20 frame with 12x16 artwork:

• Specify 16x20 matboard with 12x16 artwork opening OR
• Specify 16x20 matboard with 11.75x15.75 opening.

Note: Window cutouts are 0.25” smaller than print size to ensure overlap. We don't ship frames, only matboards.

3. In the "Add to Persolization" text box, please specify:

• Artwork/Print Size OR Exact window size
Example: 12x16 inch print OR 11.75x15.75 inch opening.
Note: Window cutouts are 0.25” smaller than print size to ensure overlap.

• Double Matting Color (if different from primary matting above).

• Double Matting Reveal Width (if different from default -- 0.25 inch).

Please note that we only ship the matboards -- we DO NOT ship out the frames.

◊ You specify the exact measurements of your matboard's exterior size up to 32x40" (our maximum dimensions available) to fit into your frame.

◊◊ Common exterior sizes (outer dimensions) included in the price brackets:

-Up to 5x7 includes 4x6, A6 (5.8x4.1) , 5x5 and 5x7 sizes

-Over 5x7 to 9x9 includes A5 (8.3x5.8) , 8x8 and 9x9 sizes

-Over 9x9 to 11x14 includes 8x10 , 8.5x11 , A4 (11.7x8.3) , 8x12 , 9x12 and 11x14 sizes

-Over 11x14 to 12x16 includes 11x17 , 12x12 and 12x16 sizes

-Over 12x16 to 14x18 includes A3 (16.5x11.7) , 12x18 , 14x18 and 9.75 x19.75 (Panoramic) sizes

-Over 14x18 to 16x20 includes 16x20

-Over 16x20 to 18x24 includes 16x24 , A2 (23.4 x16.5) and 18x24 sizes

-Over 18x24 to 20x20 includes 19.75x19.75 and 20x20 sizes

-Over 20x20 to 20x28 includes 19.75x27.5 , 20x24 and 20x28 sizes

-Over 20x28 to 24x36 includes 22x28 , 24x35.75 and 24x36 sizes

-Over 24x36 to 32x40 includes 27x40 and 30x40 sizes


◊ You specify the exact interior measurements of your opening window that will hold your art.

◊◊ Note: All the window cutouts should be at least 0.25” smaller in both height and width to the print size that they hold, as the window MUST be smaller than the print size to hold it properly. EXAMPLE: A window cutout for a 4x6” print will actually be 3.75x5.75”

◊ All of our matboards are cut to the exact dimensions using our high tech mat board specific cutting machine.

◊ Each of the interior cutouts are cut on an exact 45º angle and will showcase the white interior core of the mat board

◊ All of our matboards are acid-free. Please note that all our matboards are treated to remove all acidic components to achieve acid-neutralized, buffered surface for your preservation needs.

◊ Over 99% of our matboards are sourced and produced in Canada and the USA. The remainder comes from the UK.
