All of my birdhouses are personally hand-built with 1/2" signboard (Plywood). My roofs and bases are 3/4" Clear Pine. They are glued and nailed. I wrap the houses with vinyl and apply a clear laminate. This birdhouse is wrapped on 3 sides, for mounting on a tree or fence. (the back is exterior MDF unfinished) You have the option to have this as a hanging birdhouse, wrapped on all 4 sides. It can also be mounted on a pole. Please specify when ordering which you prefer. Four sided wrapped birdhouses cost $75.00. If you wish to order the 4 sided birdhouse, message us and we will send you the link. Great for indoor or outdoor.

The Firefighter birdhouse looks great! The red paint on top of the hat was coming off so I repainted the hat. That wasn't a big deal. I didn't know that this birdhouse had to be hung on a tree or post. I purchased this for a friend to hang from a chain. There is no way to attach a chain to hang the birdhouse because the hat isn't actually attached. The hat just sits on the top. There is a small hanger on the back. Also, on both of the sides it is designed so there are huge gaps where rain can enter. This will likely rot the wood quickly from rain running into the house and sitting there because there is no way for it to drain out. I hope that my friend will be able to figure out a way to hang this because there aren't any trees in their yard. I think it is very cute but for the price and the price of shipping I expected more.

I love it! It turned out beautiful and looks exactly like the pictures. I wish the varnish was more weather proof for winter because it says you have to keep the snow off of the bird feeder or it will get damaged but thats not a big deal to me anyways. Besides that, it's perfect
