Yakisugi.
Who has heard about this old, traditional technique of wood processing - already know that burnt wood become more resistant. After burning and wet cleaning with hand polishing the top layer of wood become so smooth, like natural leather in touch. That's why, when such a wood contact with water - it just flows down, without any delay and almost without penetrating inside the wood. Additionally to this method of natural fire conservation, for protecting a wood even more better usually is used natural linseed oil. I also use pure linseed oil which I just squeeze by myself at home.
Interesting to know, that linseed oil has the most better polymerization quality among all other kinds of oils. In contact with sun ultraviolet rays the oil, penetrated inside a wood became an extra strong natural polymer, which protects not only from water but also from fire too. But usually, in natural conditions, the whole process of polymerization can take a lot of time (it's depend of sun intensity). That's why I also use ultraviolet lights to speed up polymerization...
Anyway the whole creating process takes a lot of time, so you should wait little bit more for realisation, but as result you will get extra protected wooden items, which are just amazing on look and unbelievable smooth in touch.
It has no smell and doesn't absorb any smell.
It has no any glue, cause it made of solid wood.
It will never change this intense natural black colour.
It's the thing, which all the people buy and loves it just after first touch.
