As women, our rights to access public life, especially at night is filled with fear. We have learned to be hypervigilant about how others perceive us for our safety. Through these paintings, I explore how women of Mumbai experience this fear in their lives, and despite this, how they seek access to their city. I then built out a dream where they have equal rights to leisure and joy without a care.
