I make this decorative bowl from one single sheet of copper. I hand cut a 12" diameter disc, and then hand-raise it into the final shape through multiple rounds of hammering, heating the metal to soften it, then hammering again, heating again, and so on, until the final shape is achieved. I sand the edges for comfortable handling. The polished finish, together with all the wrinkles, folds, and hammer marks, turn the bowl into a light symphony, reminiscent of fire.

As this bowl is made to order, its unique shape will differ slightly from the picture. However, the overall style and feel of the piece will be the same. I'll be happy to send you a picture of the finished bowl before shipping, upon request.

This is a decorative bowl. Not generally food safe - but great for beating egg whites!

Copper will age beautifully. Should you prefer the shiny finish, simply wipe it with a copper or silver cleaner, or a solution of vinegar and salt.
