CAST BRONZE STANDING PERCHERON HEAVY HORSE SCULPTURE.

*Please note: This sculpture needs to be cast. It will take about 2 months to be completed once an order has been made.

The solid weight of this Clydesdale heavy horse is apparent not only in the timeless bronze material but in his rooted stance as he is buffeted by strong wind, blowing his mane and tail forward.

I had such fun bringing this strong fellow to life and love his mid to large size which occupies a nice visual space and exudes quiet, calm resiliency.

Often when I create sculptures, they come through as strong characters that have a life of their own. This beauty is no exception. I love his form and the loose almost painterly quality of his texture.

This larger-scale bronze sculpture of a Clydesdale horse is hand cast bronze using the lost wax method. The edition size for the sculpture is only 12! He stands 15 inches high. There are currently only 4 copies left in the edition.

This sculpture is a great addition to your horse decor. It is a perfect horse lover gift for that special occasion birthday, Christmas or housewarming for rustic or southwestern home decor.

All sculptures come with a Certificate of Authenticity in a beautiful folio.

Yes, absolutely. Bronze can withstand the elements. It simply requires a coat of wax once in a while to protect the surface from oxidizing. Oxidization happens due to the copper content of bronze.

If you would like it to gradually take on the distinctive aqua-green colour that copper goes over time, then just leave your sculpture alone and nature will do the rest!

I include a How to Care for Your Bronze Sculpture information sheet with your certificate of authenticity package to make sure you know the specifics.

Patination is a chemical process to intoduce colour to the surface of a bronze sculpture. As such, some patinas, greens in particular, can be more difficult to control than others. Over time, patinas will gradually change as they oxidize. Application of wax helps to preserve the patina colour, but must be applied about once a year if your sculpture is outside, or once every few years indoors.

Absolutely gorgeous painting that reminds me of a sweet male Rufous hummingbird that spent the whole winter of 2022-2023 with us. Now, thanks to Kindrie, we have this beautiful painting in our home to remind us of him every day. Perhaps, my greatest find on Etsy. And amazing customer service.
