These hooded zip-up cardigans are handcrafted with love by women of the Peruvian Andes. Each cardigan is knitted in hand operated machines and carefully hand embroidered and adorned with designs on the front and back that reflect daily life in the Andes, including llamas, lambs, bunnies, mountains, cacti, the sun and rain clouds. Each cardigan is unique, just like each child that wears them.
They cardigans are bright, beautiful, educational and fun, comfortable, cosy and warm, and children absolutely adore them. We love that these cardigans support the lives of female artisans, many of whom work from home while taking care of their families. Over the years we have built a solid relationship with these communities and it is our honour to bring this artistry to a global marketplace.
These cardigans have been made for over 30 years and many of our customers return every year for a larger size. They also make great gifts. We carry a range of playful colors and sizes from 0 to 8.
