The idea behind the Watercolor Abstraction series is to capture the beauty that takes place in art and nature when man does little to interfere. When watercolor is placed on canvas, it is given the freedom to flow naturally. Colors blend as they wish, or stand alone against a border of white. The final look gives a feeling of water, rocks, trees, or mountains based on what the watercolor chooses to do. The colors dry in their commitment, with little interference from the artist. The goldfish was added to complement the look of the water.

The abstract gold line design is added to compliment and highlight the subtle color changes of watercolor. This is where the landscape is emphasized into mountain, forest, or beach. Changes of light, both artificial and natural, will help highlight and alter the unique depth of colors.

Sealed with UV-resistant and water-resistant clear acrylic coating.


There are four separate goldfish paintings in this set. All are 14"x14" on canvas in similar colors. "Clementine" is swimming in the upper left corner. "Mimosa" is swimming in the bottom right. "Mango" is swimming in the upper right corner. "Pumpkin" is swimming in the bottom right. Currently, only "Clementine" and "Mimosa" are available for purchase as the others are still receiving their gold finish.
