De Krantenkapper (the newspaper barber) is a project of two Dutch sisters, Lotte and Janneke.
When we were kids we played 'barbershop' a lot. To keep our own girly hair intact we used to spend hours cutting newspapers into strings that could be attached to our heads. This newspaper hair was braided, curled and of course cut from long and wavy to crispy short.
Today we design paper. Things on paper, things out of paper, things that need paper. We're paper barbers. Newspaper barbers, for we like things to be recycled ;)
