I'm a graphic designer and screen printer, and in 2008 I started two different clothing lines, Flytrap Clothing and City Bike Tees. Both lines are screen printed by hand, by me, in my backyard workshop here in Pittsboro, North Carolina.
Flytrap Clothing - http://www.etsy.com/shop/flytrap Flytrap Clothing is inspired by the natural world. I take my cues from land and sea, from manicured gardens and beloved wild spaces, and distill it all down to simple, elegant design. As you'd expect, my vision has shifted and evolved throughout the eight years I've been in business, but several things have remained constant: my love of plants, my complex ink colors, my super soft fabrics, and my crisp, detailed print technique.
City Bike Tees - http://www.etsy.com/shop/citybiketees City Bike Tees started out as a single design, a simple little ode to my love of biking around Carrboro, NC, where I lived in my 20s and where I rode around on two wheels for the six years I didn't have a car. The Carrboro bike tee was quite popular from the beginning, and I soon released options for several neighboring towns. Now, we're so excited to launch a whole separate Etsy shop boasting a choice of 40 cities and 15 fabric colors, with further options for customization already on the way. Choose your custom look and show your hometown some love.
