The Tale of 2 Hags
Hi! We’re Karin and Neela –– the creative minds behind 2 Hags Design. We’ve been buddies, beer-lovers and beach-goers for more than ten years. We’ve also paid the bills as professional graphic designers for much longer than that. We know our way around layouts, we’re typography junkies, and we are obsessive about colors.
But doing mostly digital work started feeling like … well, work. So we’ve traded our keyboard and mouse for hand-set type, custom-mixed inks, and a paintbrush or two. And best of all, we’re working on an antique Vandercook letterpress we rent at AS220, a communal art space in downtown Providence, Rhode Island.
We’re lucky to live in a state that overflows with beauty and creativity – Rhode Island is our home and as such is the inspiration for many of our prints. Neela’s two kids and Karin’s two Boston Terriers are close seconds (sorry, little ones!).
Simply put, 2 Hags Design finds passion and peace in creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind hand-crafted prints. Prints that we love. Prints that we would (and do!) hang in our own homes. Prints that we hope you, too, will enjoy.
