Quiet Nature
I’m Danushka, an artist drawn to quiet moments, natural forms, and the simple beauty found in everyday life. My work is inspired by nature, especially birds, and shaped by my background in architectural design and nearly a decade living in Japan. Zen philosophy, Japanese calligraphy, and a respect for balance and restraint continue to influence my approach.
Each artwork begins by hand, using materials such as watercolor, pencil, and ink. I work intuitively and slowly, allowing space, texture, and gentle movement to guide each composition. These original pieces are then carefully refined into high-quality fine art prints that retain the softness and character of the original work.
My bird and nature-inspired artworks are created to bring a sense of calm, warmth, and quiet connection into a space, whether it’s a nursery, a family home, or a thoughtfully styled interior. I aim to create pieces that feel peaceful and timeless, and that can be lived with for many years.
