Color the Moon is ontstaan vanuit een verlangen om nieuwe huizen te vinden voor oude voorwerpen. Het lijkt erop dat we nu in een wegwerpmaatschappij leven, waar dingen worden weggegooid omdat ze niet trendy of modern zijn. Ik krimp ineen als ik denk aan het aantal nuttige oude schatten dat op stortplaatsen of verbrandingsovens terechtkomt. Color the Moon gaat niet alleen over recycling; het is re-homing.
De meeste items aangeboden door Color the Moon werden verkregen door de nalatenschap van een dierbaar familielid dat een liefde had voor fijne stof. Ze was hoogleraar kleding en design aan een universiteit in het Midwesten en had honderden monsters van stof die niemand leek te willen omdat er niet genoeg yardage was om iets mee te doen. Ik zie het anders! Van deze prachtige stoffen kunnen kussenslopen, tassen, wanddecoratie, sieraden worden gemaakt... en nog veel meer!
Color the Moon biedt ook vintage sieraden, verzamelobjecten, patronen en vele andere schatten.

Color the Moon was created from a desire to find new homes for old items. It seems that we now live in a disposable society, where things are thrown out because they are not trendy or modern. I cringe when I think of the number of useful old treasures that end up in landfills or incinerators. Color the Moon is not about just recycling; it is re-homing.
The majority of items offered by Color the Moon were acquired through the estate of a dear relative who had a love of fine fabric. She was a Professor of Apparel and Design at a midwestern university and had hundreds of samples of fabric that no one seemed to want because there wasn't enough yardage to do anything with. I beg to differ! These gorgeous fabrics can be made into pillow covers, bags, wall decor, jewelry... and so much more!
