I have always loved crafting and art in general since I was a kid. My grandmother and aunt are both artist and they always tried to share their knowledge with me and my sister. I studied Psychology and then Art Therapy in Argentina. I felt I needed a link between my career and art, because in my experience making art is healing. That was the moment I started to take my art into another level.
When I moved to Colorado with my husband in 2010 to live in a ranch in the mountains, I was inspired by nature and started to paint on pieces of wood I found in the barn. Painting on wood became my new pleasure, and enjoyed all the process starting from finding the pieces as treasures forgotten around to expressing all my perceptions about the animals, colors and season changes in the area. When I accumulated a lot of paintings I took some to my favorite consignment store in Salida to see if they could sell them. The owners called me the next day to tell me that all the pieces where sold and a new chapter in my artistic life started.

Now that I live in Colombia, I still see the world in color, bright colors. Colorful Ideas was born from my desire to express the magic of nature through color and shape. The kind of magic that awakens a sense of oneness with everything around us.
Art is about connecting, pure connections with the objective or subjective, but a real connection. My art is a tribute to the natural world, to life, to colors, to the mystery within every living being on this planet.
I paint on different materials, especially barnwood and driftwood, so that I can give these materials another life. This has turned the hunt for my natural canvases into an almost meditative experience as I search the beaches of Colombia.
