Todo comenzó conmigo haciendo mi propia ropa de acuerdo con mis gustos particulares. Desde que era muy joven, nunca he estado de acuerdo en que todos deberíamos seguir algunas reglas predeterminadas de la moda, ¡esto a pesar de haber crecido en una familia que tenía una tienda de ropa! ¿Por qué debería usar lo que alguien más dicta que está "dentro" este año? Año tras año, hay nuevos colores y formas para mantenerse al día.
Por supuesto, esto no significa que no me guste la moda. Me gusta especialmente la ropa de los años 1900, 1920 y 1960, y hay muchos diseñadores de ropa que trabajan hoy en día que admiro. Pero lo que quería era algo que me reflejara a mí mismo, mi personalidad y los diferentes períodos de mi vida.
Así que con la ayuda de mi tía y mi abuela, ambas costureras fantásticas, comencé a coser mi propia ropa. Al mismo tiempo, estaba experimentando en diferentes áreas del arte: ilustración, litografía y serigrafía, y más tarde obtendría un título en patronaje. Esto se ha convertido en mi pasión. Me encanta hacer patrones y saltar a cada proyecto como un artista creando una escultura. He sido patronista durante 20 años, también doy clases en él y otras artes relacionadas con la ropa, como la serigrafía.
Con esta tienda, espero conectarme con personas de ideas afines: aquellos a quienes les gusta vestirse a su manera única, a quienes les gusta coser y les gustaría encontrar ese patrón especial o crear cualquier diseño que se les ocurra a su imaginación.

El proceso de creación de patrones
Primero, esbozo el patrón base, creando la forma general del cuerpo. Luego, corto papel extra y lo pego para crear los detalles y volúmenes de la prenda. Luego le doy forma al patrón plano para crear la mitad de la prenda (como las prendas son normalmente simétricas, solo se necesita la mitad). Y finalmente, produzco un borrador limpio con piezas planas desmontables.
Todos mis patrones están hechos a mano, y cada uno tarda de 3 a 6 horas en producirse, dependiendo de los detalles de diseño de la prenda.
Cuando el patrón está terminado, y antes de enviártelo, hago una réplica en miniatura del patrón con piezas planas desmontables que te muestran cómo colocar el patrón en la tela.
Y finalmente, imprimo un boceto del diseño terminado, lo incluyo en su sobre y lo llevo a la oficina de correos.
Mi política de reembolso es:
Siempre reembolso la mitad del precio inmediatamente si el cliente ya no quiere el patrón, y reembolso la otra mitad cuando recibo una carta del servicio postal confirmando que el sobre se ha perdido o que será devuelto y el caso está resuelto. Esto es para diseños de patrones que tengo en mi tienda.
Para pedidos que son patrones de diseño personalizados, puedo darle un reembolso por un diseño personalizado si no está satisfecho con el patrón. Sin embargo, si el patrón no llega, nuestras opciones son más limitadas, ya que considero que los retrasos en el envío son responsabilidad de la compañía de envío.
Presentaré un reclamo que ayudará a acelerar la entrega. Si, al final, recibo una confirmación de que el sobre se ha perdido en el correo, le daré un reembolso completo.
It all started with me making my own clothing according to my own particular tastes. Ever since I was very young, I’ve never agreed that we should all follow some pre-determined rules of fashion – this despite having grown up in a family that ran a clothing shop! Why should I wear what someone else dictates is “in” this year? Year in and year out, there are new colors and shapes to keep up with.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that I dislike fashion. I especially like clothing from the 1900s, 1920s, and 1960s, and there are many clothing designers working today that I admire. But what I wanted was something that would reflect myself, my personality, and the different periods in my life.
So with the help of my aunt and my grandmother, both fantastic seamstresses, I started sewing my own clothes. At the same time, I was experimenting in different areas of art: illustration, lithography, and silk screening, and later on I would get a degree in patternmaking. This has become my passion. I absolutely love making patterns and jump into each project like an artist creating a sculpture. I’ve been a patternmaker for 20 years now, also giving classes in it and other clothing-related arts such as silk-screening
With this shop, I hope to connect with like-minded people: those who like to dress in their own unique way, who like to sew, and would like to find that special pattern or create whatever design their imaginations can come up with.

The pattern-making process
First, I sketch the base pattern, creating the general shape of the body. Then, I cut extra paper and attach it to create the details and volumes of the garment. I then give form to the flat pattern to create half of the garment (as garments are normally symmetrical, only half is needed). And finally, I produce a clean draft with detachable flat pieces.
All my patterns are handcrafted, with each one taking 3-6 hours to produce, depending on the design details of the garment.
When the pattern is finished, and before sending it to you, I make a miniature replica of the pattern with detachable flat pieces that show you how to place the pattern on the fabric.
And finally, I print out a sketch of the finished design, include it in your envelope, and whisk it off to the post office!
My refund policy is:
I always refund half of the price immediately if the client no longer wants the pattern, and I refund the other half when I receive a letter from the postal service confirming either that the envelope has been lost or that it will be returned and the case is solved. This is for pattern designs that I have in my shop.
For orders that are custom design patterns, I can give you a refund for a custom design if you are not satisfied with the pattern. However, if the pattern doesn't arrive, our options are more limited as I consider shipping delays to be the responsibility of the shipping company.
I will file a claim which will help to expedite the delivery. If, in the end, I receive a confirmation that the envelope has been lost in the post, I will give you a full refund.
