DesertStandard

Desert Standard started as a creative outlet in my garage in Arizona. I've always appreciated the traditions of Southwestern design, but I could never quite find decor that felt authentic, simple, and functional at the same time.

What began as a few custom pieces for my own home quickly turned into something bigger once friends and family started requesting pieces for their own home. I fell in love with the process - sourcing authentic / hand-made Talavera Tile imported from Mexico, working with locally sourced wood finishes, and pairing each piece to create something unique. No two pieces are ever the same, and that's what I love most about this work. "Perfectly Imperfect", as my Mom would say.
