FAIRHAND STUDIO PRIVACY POLICY

This policy describes how and when Fairhand Studio ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you buy an item from us, contact us, or otherwise use our services through Etsy.com and its related sites and services. It does not apply to the practices of third parties we do not own or control, including Etsy. See the Etsy Privacy Policy for how Etsy handles your information.

WHAT WE SELL
Fairhand Studio sells digital planner and diary templates (PDF files) delivered through Etsy's instant download. We do not post physical goods, so we never need your postal address.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To fulfil your order you provide certain information to Etsy, which Etsy shares with us: your name, Etsy username, email address and the details of the product you ordered. Payment is handled by Etsy Payments; we never see your card or bank details. If you contact us through Etsy Messages you may choose to give us further information, for example to help with a file question.

WHY WE NEED YOUR INFORMATION AND HOW WE USE IT
We rely on the following legal bases:
- To provide our services: fulfilling your order, resolving disputes and giving customer support.
- Your consent, which you may withdraw at any time, for example if you ask to hear about new releases.
- Legal obligations: keeping records of sales where tax law requires it.
- Our legitimate interests, where these are not overridden by your rights: providing and improving our products, and complying with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
We do not send marketing messages through Etsy Messages and we will not add you to any mailing list unless you ask us to.

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
We share your personal information only in limited circumstances:
- Etsy: as necessary to provide our services and comply with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
- Service providers: we may use trusted third parties for file storage and accounting. They receive only what is needed to perform those services.
- Business transfers: if we sell or merge our business, your information may be disclosed as part of that transaction, only as permitted by law.
- Compliance with laws: where we reasonably believe it is necessary to respond to legal process, enforce our terms, prevent fraud or protect the rights and safety of our customers or others.

DATA RETENTION
We keep your personal information only as long as needed to provide our services and as described here. UK tax rules require us to keep sales records, so we generally keep order data for 6 years.

TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE UK AND EU
Etsy is based in the United States and processes order data there under its own safeguards. Where we use third-party hosting or accounting services outside the UK or EU, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or EU standard contractual clauses as the legal basis for the transfer.

YOUR RIGHTS
If you live in the UK, EU or certain other territories you have rights over your personal information, including:
- Access: to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Change, restrict, delete: to correct, restrict our use of, or delete your information. Unless we must keep it for legal reasons, we will delete it on request.
- Object: to our processing based on legitimate interests, and to any marketing you previously consented to.
- Complain: if you are in the UK you may raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); if you are in the EU, with your local data protection authority.

HOW TO CONTACT US
For the purposes of UK and EU data protection law, Fairhand Studio is the data controller of your personal information. For any privacy question or request, contact us through Etsy Messages from our shop page. To access, correct or delete information held by Etsy itself, contact Etsy at etsy.com/help.
