Every step handmade, from start to finish.

  • Alpaca wool thats been run through the drum carder multiple times to align the fibers, then pre-drafted for spinning.
  • Spun 3-ply chain plyed worsted weight yarn, ready to be knit into super soft hats in its natural, undyed, white.
  • My Kromski Sonata spinning wheel, from which I hand-spin all yarns sold in my shop, and the yarn bowl I knit from.
  • Raw white alpaca fiber, shown just as it is shorn off of the animal that produced it. Ready to be picked and scoured.
  • Clean alpaca wool, after removing most of the dirt/dust/vegetation. Once dry it'll be ready to move to the carder.

    I hand process wool/animal fiber from its raw form using some of the same tools used hundreds of years ago, spin it, then knit items out of the handspun yarn.
