Made well and to the measurements I ordered. First time using a petticoat. Unworn it does have a nice a-line, but on my body it looks more bell shaped than I had hoped for. I tried several skirts over top and they all looked like this. Still like it, but beware if you have a naturally curvy body, that you may need something that is structured differently. I highly recommend these if you are looking for circular volume though!

I'll post a picture when my dresses come in! It's made very nicely and gives super cute shape and poof! It's definitely true to the size ordered! (I got paranoid and ordered a bit too big, but it still works fine, the elastic is great!)

The history of In the Starlite

In the Starlite has always been a collaboration of sisters Leah and Mara. We began in 2003 as a dot com website. Lolita fashion was gaining popularity in America, and we were making our own outfits out of our home in Illinois. As time went on and the business grew, it became full-time work for both of us, and we could hardly keep up with the orders. In 2011 we moved our shop to Etsy. This gave us more time to focus on sewing, rather than upkeep of the website. We took a break for a few years, and during that time Leah moved to Japan. Now we are back, collaborating from opposite sides of the globe. As a consequence, we are now able to source many of our materials straight from Tokyo. We plan to expand our previous clothing catalogue, and will be offering a varied range of fabric prints and accessories.
