Lafayette blends Cajun-French vocals with syncopated accordion lines, fiery fiddle breaks and driving rythms, paying homage to the folk traditions of Louisiana’s cultural melting pot. Their repertoire includes classic Cajun two steps, waltzes and a sprinkling of Appalachian tunes. This is music made to dance to, and Lafayette’s gigs are invariably lively and joyful occasions.

With a line-up of seasoned musicians (Eric - vocals, banjo, percussion, harmonica; Hannah - fiddle, vocals; Elly – accordion; Frank - guitar/bass, bass drum, vocals), Lafayette have been honing their sound with many gigs in pubs and clubs around Cornwall. In the last year, they have been joined by dance caller Holly for popular Cajun dance evenings.

So, don your dancing shoes, shout out your indignation that “les Haricots sont pas salés!”, and come along to the Bayou with Lafayette.
