Family-Made Decor with a Story
We’re a local family — Nick, Yuliia and our little daughter Miia.
Inspired by a lifelong fascination with maps, we create handcrafted wooden map art that transforms geography into warmth, identity and story — filling empty walls with pieces that feel deeply personal, meaningful and lasting.
Local Engraver Paul was named after our rescue cat, Paul, adopted from a local shelter in Victoria, on Vancouver Island.
As a kid, I (Nick) had maps on my wall instead of band posters. That quiet passion grew over time — and now we create our own. Each piece is carefully crafted using high-quality, eco-friendly materials, blending warmth, depth, and a touch of reflection. No two pieces are ever the same — the natural texture of the wood makes each one truly one of a kind.
What started as a small family project grew into something much bigger — today, our handcrafted pieces can be found across North America: in homes, school classrooms, offices, boardrooms, hotels, short-term rentals, restaurant, government buildings.
Through “Local Engraver Paul,” we tell stories — yours and ours — through wooden wall decor that makes your space feel special.
