Like father, like daughter. Creativity runs in our family through art in all forms, however working with wood is where our inspiration lies.

Jonathan has been creating beautiful works of art through wood carving for over 15 years. Decorative yet practical spoons & bowls, indigenous masks, holiday ornaments, shoe horns, chip carved plates and even a caricature of him and his wife in their kayaks as an anniversary gift; his vision of what a simple piece of wood can transform into is all encompassing. Both his daughters regularly squabble over who gets the newest piece he is carving, and one has even taken to smuggling a few of his carvings from his house when he is not looking.

Jonathan passed his love of creating to his daughter, Jenn. Learning woodworking skills from her dad, she continues to hone her skills. Although Jonathan has been teaching her to carve, and has been working on a mask with her for 4 years now, Jenn's creativity comes in building larger scale items, most often for her garden or her dogs, Ellie & Basil. Planters, decorative trellis, guest room tables, living room chairs, dog leash organizers and some dog bowl stands to keep the drooly puddles to a minimum.

Together, they created M2C1 Kraftwerks, an ode to one of the first lessons Jonathan taught Jenn, which was then quickly forgotten; measure twice, cut once.
