Great pattern, easy to follow and switch things up as needed. My kiddo is happy too so its a win all around!

Tough to sew as a beginner.

I love the hat and collar I ended up making. not sure if it was because I am so new to sewing (the pattern says beginner friendly) but I had a hard time following along at certain points. the files come with a video tutorial with step by step but I found that after a step it would jump to the garment being in a different position that I had to struggle to figure out how they got there because it wasn't filmed (a couple times). overall I got them made and they work for what I need (scaring at a haunted house as my jester character). I also didn't care for the sides of the hat not being form fitted to the sides of my face, so I inserted a craft wire in along the front seems so I can bend it to form fit my forehead and sides of my face.

amazing pattern and well scaled to different sizes. I will say that written instructions are very important and help a lot. I made a mock-up of this using the video which was helpful, but in teaching others to make this pattern, some beginners, we encountered many confusing parts and it took a while to keep replaying the video. I would pay more for this if there were written instructions, other than that the pattern is great

Easy to follow pattern for beginner to intermediate

An absolutely adorable little hat!! I didn’t have interfacing but it folds back perfectly into a ‘bonnet’. My only issue with the pattern is that the second page on are rotated wrong when printing. The first page is landscape, but the rest are portraits that need to be printed landscape. It takes a try or two to get it right :/ Other than that, easy to follow instructions and video and it came out amazing!!

This is the cutest jester hat pattern! It’s exactly what I wanted, the pattern and step y step video tutorial was both so helpful and easy to follow. The only thing I struggled with was the blind stitch while adding the horns, I’ve tried it many times but still can’t seem to get it right. In any case, I got so many compliments on it at the renfaire, and even got asked for the link to purchase this pattern! (Ignore the wrinkles, I only have a steamer, not an iron— and my washer ate one of the ribbon ties…)

I made the collar open ended with a button for closure, as it was just too small to go over my head. But I love the final result!
