How the World(s) became Modular!
I started out making & designing miniatures in 2015 for my dungeons and dragons campaign world "Protogaia", After a while I decided to digitally design minis rather than sculpt in clay and other mediums, after my players pushed me to share my creations on Facebook after all the positive feedback I received from social media and anyone else who happened to see my creations, I decided that I would like to share this hobby with the world. I began making terrain on a commission bases and invested in my first 3d printer to help with the dioramas and terrain commissions, I quickly discovered one printer was not enough and invested in a second machine from the proceeds of my terrain sales. Before I knew it 2 machines was not enough and I had quickly outgrown the box room at my house.
So began the construction of the workshop and the realisation that I would need a name for my business and my crazy ideas and thus Modular Worlds was born. I quickly upgraded to new better machines and more of them. I started a Patreon but due to a good friend of mine having to change career we found it very hard to keep up with the time constraints of Patreon. I enlisted the help from a good friend Isaac Torres to help me with some concept art and we were rolling! I had already set up a store for my STL files on My Mini Factory. It seemed logical to bring my minis to a selling platform and to to get my products going via Kickstarter and eventually to the My Mini Factory's crowdfunding platform.
