Meet the Maker: Kenia J. Sears
Hi! I’m Kenia—a Christian wife, proud mom of two amazing boys, and a lifelong creative. I hold a BA and A.S. from Belmont University and have spent much of my career working on the business side of medical practices. But when life gets hectic, crafting is my sanctuary—it’s my joy, my stress-reliever, and the place where I come alive.
Years ago, my husband gifted me a sewing machine—the first of many thoughtful nudges that reignited my creative spark. That simple act planted the seed for what would become MOSEDEL Handmade Treasures. I dabbled in handcrafted soaps for a time, but sensitivities to lye led me to lean fully into sewing, embroidery, and other fiber arts. Today, I’m the happy owner of a Cricut Maker, heat press, and three sewing machines—each one with its own special role in my creative process (including my Janome Memory Craft 550E and beloved Juki).
I often say I have “crafting ADHD”—I love trying new techniques just to see if they spark joy. Whether it’s custom embroidery, quilted items made carefully hand picked fabric or eco-conscious materials, I pour my heart and persistence into every piece. I’m the kind of person who doesn’t give up—I’ll keep at something until it’s just right (sometimes to a fault!).
When I’m not creating, I’m reading, laughing with friends and family, or dreaming of the beach—my ultimate place of rest.
Thank you for visiting my shop. I hope my creations bring a little bit of comfort, joy, and beauty into your world.
