As a small business owner, not only do I work for me...I work for you!
Native Nut Meg started as an Etsy shop in the Spring of 2014 and by the Fall, I had turned my hobby into a full time job. I was ready for a career change and when demand for my work grew locally I figured, nothing ventured, nothing gained. So here I am; a small business owner working from home and expanding my inventory and presence in the community.
My love for art started as a child and I won several awards for my work throughout junior high and high school. I have kept up with my painting and other creative endeavors since then and was thrilled when I introduced myself to glass painting in 2012. I could have a finished product in hours instead of days and I started painting, and I painted, and painted, and painted. I had so many glasses and I started giving them as gifts and soon I had orders and more interest. It was great!
In the Spring of 2015, I launched a second component to my business. Sandblast etching on glass was a nice complement to the work I was already doing with the glass painting. I design all of my graphics and can customize pieces with names or other text as desired. Most recently, the Yeti Ramblers have become all the rage and I am also able to etch and personalize the Ramblers or other stainless steel products.
