OfficialSTEM Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 September 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how OfficialSTEM collects, uses and shares information when you purchase a product from our Etsy shop, contact us, or otherwise interact with us through Etsy.

This policy applies to OfficialSTEM's activities as an Etsy seller. Etsy has its own privacy practices and policies, which operate separately from ours.

1. Information We Receive

When you place an order or contact OfficialSTEM, Etsy may provide us with information necessary to process your purchase or respond to you. This may include your name, email address, Etsy username, order details and information you choose to provide in messages or requests.

Payments are processed through Etsy and its payment providers. OfficialSTEM does not receive or store your complete payment card details.

2. Why We Use Your Information

We use personal information only where reasonably necessary to:

provide the digital products you purchase;

communicate with you about your order;

provide customer support;

resolve disputes or problems;

maintain appropriate business and transaction records;

comply with Etsy's terms and seller requirements;

comply with applicable legal, tax and regulatory obligations; and

protect the security and legitimate interests of OfficialSTEM and our customers.

Where consent is legally required for a particular use, we will rely on your consent.

3. Marketing

Purchasing an OfficialSTEM product does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

We will not add your Etsy email address to an external mailing list solely because you purchased from us. If OfficialSTEM offers an optional newsletter or other marketing service in the future, personal information will be used for that purpose only where an appropriate legal basis, including consent where required, exists.

4. Sharing Personal Information

We do not sell or rent customer personal information.

Information may be shared in limited circumstances with:

Etsy — as necessary to operate our Etsy shop, process orders and comply with Etsy's policies.

Service providers — where a trusted service provider is reasonably necessary to operate the business or provide a service, and only to the extent necessary for that purpose.

Legal and regulatory authorities — where disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal proceedings or governmental requests, or to prevent fraud and protect the rights and safety of OfficialSTEM, our customers or others.

If the business is reorganised, sold or transferred, relevant information may form part of that transaction where permitted by law.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services and meet legitimate business, accounting, tax and legal obligations.

Information that is no longer required will be deleted or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

6. International Transfers

OfficialSTEM may serve customers in different countries. Etsy and service providers used in connection with an order may process information outside the country where a customer lives.

Where applicable data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer of personal information, we will rely on appropriate mechanisms provided by applicable law or the relevant service provider.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access to, correction of, restriction of, portability of, or deletion of certain personal information, and to object to certain processing.

You may contact OfficialSTEM if you wish to exercise a privacy right concerning information that we control.

For personal information controlled directly by Etsy, you should contact Etsy or use the privacy controls provided through your Etsy account.

EU/EEA customers may also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.

8. Children's Privacy

OfficialSTEM creates educational products intended for adults to purchase and use with children. Our Etsy shop is not intended to collect personal information directly from children.

Parents, guardians and educators should not send us unnecessary personal information about a child.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our business practices, services or applicable requirements change. The current version will be made available through our Etsy shop policies.

10. Contact

For privacy-related questions or requests, please contact OfficialSTEM through Etsy Messages.
