5 out of 5 starsI really liked how this turned out. I used a significantly smaller gauge yarn as I wanted the finished piece to be smaller, which made the beak a bit of a nightmare to work on, but I persisted and got it done!

Frequently asked questions
Pattern Licence Information (Terms of Use)
By buying a PlanetJune pattern, you are purchasing a perpetual, non-transferable, single-user licence. (See www.planetjune.com/terms for the perks your licence entitles you to!) When you purchase a PlanetJune pattern, you agree that you will not share or redistribute the pattern and it will only be used by you, the purchaser.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about your pattern licence(s). Thank you!
May I Sell Finished Items?
You *may* sell items made from my patterns, provided you comply with the following 3 points:
1. The items must be 100% handmade by you, the purchaser (no production-line allowed).
2. Any items for sale must state in the item description that they are based on my pattern (by ‘PlanetJune’ or ‘June Gilbank’ or both) and preferably with a link to my website (www.planetjune.com) .
3. Any items you sell based on my patterns must feature only your own photographs of the item you have made to sell. You do not have permission to use my photographs to help sell your work.
If you sell items made from my patterns, you may apply to have your shop featured on PlanetJune (see www.planetjune.com/buytoys)
Canadian Sales
Please note that due to Etsy's policies for tax-registered Canadian sellers, the price you see when you order from PlanetJune via Etsy is GST/HST *inclusive*. The price may seem high because, unlike most other Etsy items, you will not be charged additional GST/HST at checkout on any PlanetJune items. I know this is confusing, so please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions.
IMPORTANT: this shop only sells patterns!
Please note: I sell only single-user licences for downloadable CROCHET PATTERNS in this shop (delivered to you as downloadable PDF files), NOT finished items. As such, all sales are final.
If you'd like to buy a completed item, I can no longer accept commissions for finished items. Maybe you could learn to crochet and make one for yourself instead? (See www.planetjune.com/help for my tutorials!) Or see www.planetjune.com/buytoys for a list of my customers who do sell items made from my patterns.
Delivery Information
Your pattern(s) will be downloadable from PlanetJune.com as PDF file(s) once I've processed your order and issued your pattern licence(s). I'll email you with download details as soon as your patterns are ready, often within a few hours, and within a day of payment wherever possible - please check your Spam folder if you don't see my email (from june@planetjune.com)!
Your PlanetJune account gives you unlimited access to all your PlanetJune pattern purchases, in case you ever need to download another copy, or if there's an update to the pattern. If you don't already have a PlanetJune account using the email address you use for your Etsy account, I'll create one for you using that email (UNLESS you request a different email address).
PlanetJune Pattern Quality
All PlanetJune patterns include detailed written instructions together with clear step-by-step photos to demonstrate assembly and any special techniques or other potentially confusing parts. Take a look at some examples of my pattern style and quality:

- Crochet Tutorials: www.planetjune.com/help
Language and Terminology
All PlanetJune patterns are available in English language only, using standard (US) crochet terminology.
The 'Terminology' table on page 1 of every pattern gives the conversions to UK terminology for all the stitch abbreviations I use within the pattern.
May I Send Patterns as a Gift?
Yes! Please include the following information with your order:
1. Tell me the order is a gift
2. The recipient's FIRST and LAST NAME
3. The recipient's EMAIL ADDRESS
4. Your name (to tell the recipient who the gift is from)
5. Your gift message (which I will pass onto your recipient)
I'll process the pattern licence(s) in your recipient’s name (I'll create a PlanetJune account for them if they don’t already have one), email your recipient with download instructions and your message, and then message you through Etsy you to confirm the patterns(s) have been delivered!
Help! I Haven't Received My Pattern!
If your order has been marked as 'completed' or 'shipped', I've processed your order, issued your pattern licence(s) and emailed your download instructions to the email you have listed in your Etsy account (or the email you provided when you ordered).
Please check all your inboxes and spam for my email. It'll be from june@planetjune.com with subject line 'Your PlanetJune download instructions'.
If you don't find the email anywhere, please contact me so I can re-send it.
Why Does Etsy Say It'll Take Multiple Days/Weeks to Deliver a PDF File?!
Etsy's 'Estimated Delivery' window is based on incorrect assumptions (shipping speed of a physical item, weekends and holidays). None of that applies here! Unless there are circumstances beyond my control, I process Etsy orders several times per day, and I ALWAYS try to process them within 24 hours, even on weekends and holidays.
Please watch for my email (from june@planetjune.com) with your download instructions as soon as you receive your 'shipping' notification from Etsy!
