In Love with Nature
Growing up in a family of European immigrants that hunted mushrooms my whole life, it was natural for my partner and I to continue the tradition with our interest in wild mushroom foraging. A banner year for Boletes one summer fueled our intrigue. As we began to pay more attention to the wonders of mycology, we were stunned to find, not just Boletes but an array of edible wild mushrooms on our large wooded property in Michigan, including Oyster (Pleurotus Ostreatus), Coral Tooth (Hericium Coralloides), Puffball (Calvatia Gigantica), Hedgehog (Hydnum Repandum), Artists Conk (Ganoderma Applinatum) mushrooms and more!
This burgeoning interest led us to take the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Developments Wild Mushroom Certification course. Through this rigorous course, our knowledge blossomed. Today we are able to share the fruits of the mycological world of Michigan with you with our Wild Foraged Reishi, Ganoderma Tsuge. We hope you enjoy this natural wonder.
