Frequently asked questions

Is shipping tracked for Standard Delivery?

In order to offer free delivery for my fellow Canadian artists, I use Standard Lettermail to ship. Therefore, standard delivery within Canada is NOT tracked. However, if you would like tracked delivery, I do have that option available to choose from for an extra fee.

All international orders are tracked.

How long does it take to process an order?

I try my best to process all orders on the same day so that I can get packages in the mail on the next business day. I hate waiting (as I'm not a very patient person) so I try to make anything that is within my control the shortest time possible!

What if I haven't received my package and it's been several weeks?

Please message me directly if your package does not arrive within the estimated delivery time! I will be happy to work with you and figure out how best to proceed so everyone is happy.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

If you are unsatisfied with an order and have not used any of the product, please message me and we can likely work something out.

What are your paints made from?

My paints are made from cosmetic grade pigments, watercolour binder consisting of gum arabic powder, vegetable glycerin and distilled water. Clove oil is added as a preservative.

How do I use your paints?

My paints can be used like any other watercolour paints. Simply add a few drops of water to reactivate, wait 1-2 minutes, then swish with paintbrush or brush pen to pick up the colour.

Please note some pigments are larger in size and may require more water and more time to activate.

The opacity of paints is also dependent on how much water is added.

Why are there inconsistencies between different pans of the same colour?

All my paints are hand mixed and mulled. I try my best to keep batch as consistent as possible to ensure the colour is the same once used on paper.

Bubbles are also very common in handmade watercolour paints. While I try my best to pop all air bubbles during the creation process, there may be bubbles that I cannot see under the surface. Rest assured that bubbles do not affect the quality of the paint and I always overfill my pans to make sure you get more paint that I promised to compensate for any air bubbles I cannot see beneath the surface.
