HANDMADE WATERCOLOURS:
Our hand-mulled paints are made the way I like to use them. Creamy and easy to rewet, preferably transparent pigments, and no extra fillers, extenders or gunk. Ever. :)
Our paints are made with honey, because my favourite professional paints are honey-based. I have long loved the way Sennelier and M. Graham watercolours feel and work on the page and in my palette, and wanted to see if I could produce a similar feel in my own paints. My priority is the way they paint, not their appearance in the pan, and because I add no glycerin, some pigments will develop a few cracks or be a bit funny looking :) but such is the nature of hand-mulled pigments. I do my best to make them as beautiful as I can though, and I hope you like them.
We pour our watercolours in pans in several layers, usually 5 or 6, but often more than that! Rest assured, you will be getting a BOATLOAD of pigment in each half pan or dot of paint. Since our paints have ZERO fillers, the colour is bold and bright. A little bit will go a long way!
I have not chosen the easiest pigments to mull, but I have chosen the ones I prefer to work with. Some take quite a while to make, so please be patient with me while I work hard behind the scenes to bring you more paint. Please drop me a message if you have any questions!

I know when I was starting out, I was searching for a way to get into the painting faster, to create something I liked without a truckload of frustration that always seemed to come with each project I attempted.
So I am now making what I would have LOVED to have then. I hope you enjoy painting along with me, my style is often more of a whimsical, illustrated nature, but I also very much enjoy representing my garden in watercolour as well.
