Imaridesign is taking a short break
Reviews
I have always had a strong interest in Japanese culture, particularly kimono. I aim to showcase these amazing fabrics in my work.
I believe every piece of vintage kimono fabric has its own story to tell.
By up-cycling old, unwanted kimono and kimono obi (sash) fabrics to create bags and accessories I hope to give them a modern twist and more practical use for everyday life. I want the kimono fabrics to continue their journeys in a new setting and be appreciated for their beauty once again.
My obi bags are unique as I don't usually tend to work from patterns. I like to design the shape around the fabric. I work on my own so each bag/purse is made personally at my home.

Additional policies and FAQs
I believe this adds to the authenticity of the pieces.
These are usually very minor and almost unnoticible points. However, if there is any very prominent defect on a particular item then I will always mention it in the listing.
Thank you for your understanding.
