The method shown here, in English, presents no real difficulties, because you always and only have squares in hand. Along the different steps, the blocks are built and become more complicated, offering a multitude of colorful facets.
The model shows a quilt of approximately 32" x 40" (80 x 100 cm), but there are many possibilities once the technique is understood. You can repeat the process and create a larger quilt. You can also begin with larger squares form the start.
To make a quilt of 32" x 40" (80 x 100 cm), you'll need:
- 40 fabrics in warm colors, 6" x 12" (15 x 30 cm)
- 30 fabrics in cool colors, 3" x 12" (8 x 28 cm)
- Some batting: 34" x 42" (85 x 105 cm)
- Fabric for the back: 34" x 42" (85 x 105 cm)
