What if my candle arrives broken or melted?

We package our candles carefully and work hard to ensure that they leave our shop in perfect condition. If your candle arrives broken, please send me a message and at least two clear photos so that I can place a claim with USPS. Upon receipt of at least two clear photos, I will refund the cost of your broken candle so you are made whole for that broken item. For weather issues like heat, I add ice packs when shipping during the summer. I depend on you to mind the weather in your area and to plan accordingly. There are no refunds for heat-damaged candles. Earrings that somehow become unhooked or unhinged during transport are NOT broken and will NOT be refunded. You are responsible for simply hooking them together.

What if my order is delivered to the correct address but 1) I can’t find my package and/or 2) I have moved and/or 3) my order comes through without a first and last name and is delivered to the wrong place?

To ensure that you receive the items you’ve ordered, please make sure your first and last name and your correct address are all included in your order. This will help our shippers get your items to you. If you cannot find your candles after they are delivered, shipped by us to the correct name and address (as shown on the Etsy order we receive), please contact USPS directly: 1-800-275-8777. We will not replace stolen or missing items. If you have moved, provided the wrong address or an incomplete name, just place your order again and we will recreate your candles and ship them to you again. We will not refund items delivered without this information.

Can you arrange for a signature to be required upon delivery to my residence?

Yes! We understand that some people feel more comfortable when a signature is required for delivery so we can certainly arrange it. A fee will apply and is based on USPS and UPS fees for signature deliveries.

Can you ship to a PO Box or to APOs, FPOs or DPOs?

We DO ship to PO boxes within the United States, but cannot ship to APOs, FPOs or DPOs. This is because many of those addresses are outside of the U.S. and have labeling, customs requirements and shipping regulations that I am not set up for.

Where is Upside Down Owl Farm located?

We are located on an agricultural farm in Chepachet, Rhode Island. All of our products are created right here in our Rhode Island farmhouse in a studio we designed when we first moved here.

Is my candle hand poured and created specifically for me?

Yes! Your candle will be created the old fashioned way - with time and care by my own hands. From the beginning of the soy wax melting process to the finished candle, I add your cotton wicks and carefully chosen oils so that your candle is specially made for you. Every candle is hand poured and designed by me.

How do I know that my candles are safe to use?

If you follow the Candle Safety Rules included on each candle, our candles will be very safe to use. We create our candles with high quality, 100% soy wax, all cotton and zinc free wicks, and phthalate free fragrance oils that are blended with all natural essential oils. Each candle style and scent has been tested before it is listed in our store. But please follow all of our candle safety rules which include completely extinguishing your candle when you’re done burning it and never leaving your candle unattended.

Are your candles vegan? Do these candles contain phthalates?

Yes, our candles are vegan. We do not use phthalates. Safe, clean burning, high quality candles are our priority.

Can some of my items ship to a different address? Do you need my full name to send my order?

Yes. We can ship to multiple addresses. A shipping charge will apply to each address where items are being shipped.

Can I offer Upside Down Owl Farm candles in my own retail store?

Yes, we sell our candles at several retail locations. If would like to see our candles in your store, please message me!

Made from non-toxic stone the empty bowl may be used to hold food when a barrier is placed inside, between the food and the bowl, such as a tea towel, cloth napkin or parchment paper.
