Designer Charlene Palmer of HoboThreads has been creating “wearable art” since she was in her teens. As a member of a successful sketch comedy and puppetry team, Charlene, designed and created all the puppets, costumes, scenery and props. Since moving to Austin her creations have been recognized by Parts and Labor, Black Mail, Dr. Moz , and Etsy. Charlene won a contest for her hat design at Hancock Fabrics and recently was interviewed by News 8 during the Pecan Street Festival Fashion Show. Her passion for design has developed to meet the needs of Austin’s fashion.
