¡Hola! Mi nombre es Natalia. Me han interesado las joyas y los adornos desde que tengo uso de razón. Cuando era niña, disfrutaba hurgando en el joyero de mi abuela, buscando con entusiasmo cuentas y broches recién adquiridos. Me encantó la forma en que brillaban con la luz y creaban magia en toda la habitación. Hoy sigo buscando un tesoro. ¡Esta vez a una escala mucho mayor! Ahora me encontrarás buscando antigüedades, hurgando en tiendas de operaciones y ventas de garaje (¡incluso en zocos!) en un esfuerzo por restaurar la magia de tesoros olvidados y desechados. Esta es mi colección...
Acerca de mi tienda de Etsy:
Bazaar Collections nació después de una aventura en Marruecos que le cambió la vida hace unas décadas. Fue aquí donde descubrí mi amor por los viajes, las artes decorativas, las antigüedades y los adornos tribales. Durante este viaje pasé dos meses explorando los viejos y polvorientos zocos de Marrakech, Casablanca y Fez en busca de antiguas piezas tribales de plata: amuletos beduinos, bereberes y tuareg; cuentas exóticas; Y tesoros inusuales de todo el mundo.
Hoy en día, todavía amo la emoción de redescubrir tesoros perdidos y coleccionar hermosas piezas de adorno en mis viajes. Disfruto descubriendo su significado y significado cultural: ¿qué creencia tribal tiene, qué materiales se han utilizado para crearlo y cómo se siente al usarlo? ¿Qué historia tiene que contar? Todos estos elementos son importantes para mí y trato de retratar la magia de cada pieza a través de mis descripciones, investigación y fotografía.
También tengo mis propios diseños utilizando los elementos inusuales que encuentro, como baratijas de plata desgastadas, cristales marinos y cuentas comerciales exóticas de una época pasada. Mi fuente de inspiración proviene de las vistas, sonidos, olores y sabores de mis viajes por todo el mundo: trenes de camellos a través de antiguas ciudades de barro y desiertos arenosos; tonos de índigo, azafrán y carmesí; el llamado a la oración en toda la medina; té de menta fresca que se prepara en el zoco; y delicias de pastel de almendras dulces en vísperas del Ramadán.

About me:
Hi! My name is Natalie. I have been interested in jewellery and adornment for as long as I can remember. As a young girl, I enjoyed rummaging through my Nanna's jewellery box, excitedly looking for newly acquired beads & brooches. I loved the way they sparkled in the light and created magic across the room. Today, I'm still looking for treasure. This time on a much bigger scale! Now, you'll find me antiquing, rummaging through op shops & garage sales (even souks!) in an effort to restore the magic in forgotten and discarded treasures. This is my collection...
About my Etsy shop:
Bazaar Collections was born after a life changing adventure to Morocco a few decades ago. It was here that I discovered my love of travel, decorative arts, antiquities, & tribal adornment. During this trip I spent two months exploring the old & dusty souks of Marrakech, Casablanca & Fes looking for old silver tribal pieces - Bedouin, Berber & Tuareg amulets; exotic beads; & unusual treasures from around the world.
Today, I still love the thrill of rediscovering lost treasures & collecting beautiful pieces of adornment on my travels. I enjoy discovering its meaning & cultural significance - what tribal belief does it hold, what materials have been used to create it, & how does it feel to wear it? What story does it have to tell? All of these elements are important to me & I try to portray the magic of each piece through my descriptions, research, & photography.
I also stock my own designs using the unusual elements I find, such as well worn silver trinkets, sea glass, & exotic trade beads from a bygone era. My source of inspiration comes from the sights, sounds, smells, & tastes of my journeys across the globe - camel trains across ancient mud cities & sandy deserts; shades of indigo, saffron & crimson; the call to prayer across the medina; fresh mint tea brewing in the souk; & sweet almond cake delights on the eve of Ramadan.
