My name is Donna, and I've spent years doing what I love most — searching for vintage jewellery with a story to tell.
I started a jewellery shop many years ago called 'Chicks Love' but unfortunately had to bring it to an end as I went to support my husband in his business. I later started up Etsy on the side as I love vintage jewellery, making jewellery, thinking up new designs, it is a real passion of mine.
So when I was no longer needed I started at it full time, however in 2023 I was diagnosed with breast cancer so again had to put it on the back burner, now coming back to what I love — finding and sharing these little pieces of the past — has been one of the best parts of my recovery.
I find myself with more strength and full of extra passion to commit to this business and expand it, with my husband by my side, we both work well together and work from home. I enjoy hunting down unique pieces, cleaning them, repairing them and making jewellery from new and old parts, we came up with the name Beta Tauri and created an Etsy store.
We looked at many many names before deciding on Beta Tauri, I chose this name as my star sign is Taurus and Beta Tauri is the second-brightest star in the constellation of Taurus - I thought that fit in nicely with second hand/pre-loved and most of all Vintage jewellery.
Beta Tauri specialises in vintage pieces which are completely unique. We have a wide range of bracelets, rings, necklaces, brooches and accessories. An antidote to High Street monotony, we offer customers something personal and individual.
