Frequently asked questions

🖌️ FAQ 1: What type and sizes of digital, printable wall art will I receive from GoodLifeWorks?

• The type and size of the digital files that are included in the purchase vary depending on the product. You always find the type and size of the included digital files in the listing photos and listing description.
• For most of the products, the following applies: You will receive high-resolution (300 dots per inch (dpi)) JPG files in RGB color mode that are ready for printing. To make things simple for you, I provide you the files in 5 different, common ratios that you can print in more than 40 different sizes, which makes finding frames nice and easy.
• For US Letter card products, you will receive not only high-resolution (300 dots per inch (dpi)) JPG files in RGB color mode that are ready for printing, but also JPG files.

📐 FAQ 2: Can I have a wall art file ratio or size that is not listed?

• For most of the products (except the US Letter card products), I provide you files in 5 different ratios that cover the most common wall art sizes.
• If you still need a custom ratio or size, you can use a file I provided you, and print it in a slightly different ratio: For example, if you use an online print service, you can resize the wall art by uploading the closest ratio file I provided you with, using the auto-crop feature and manually adjusting the crop area to determine the area you want to print.
• With that in mind, if you still need a ratio or size that is not listed, please message me before you make the purchase, and I will verify whether I can do your desired file ratio or size, and will get back to you as soon as possible.

📝 FAQ 3: Does GoodLifeWorks take custom orders?

Depending on the type of your request and my availability, I occasionally accept custom orders. To request a custom item, please message me what you are looking for and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Please do not leave customization requests in the order notes without messaging me to discuss them with me prior to purchase. Customizations cost an additional fee due to the time it takes me to create them.

📥 FAQ 4: Where can I download the digital files I purchased?

• When purchasing digital wall art from GoodLifeWorks, you'll receive a PDF file that contains a link to Google Drive, where you can download the wall art files (no Google account required). From Google Drive, a ZIP folder with the compressed files will be downloaded, which you need to unzip to get the files in their original, full size for printing.
• The PDF file with the download link is available once your payment is confirmed. If you paid with PayPal or a credit card, it may take a few minutes for your download link to be sent to you.
• For more help on how to download a digital file you purchased, please take a look at Etsy's help page “How to Download a Digital Item”: https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/115013328108

📁 FAQ 5: What do I need to do with the ZIP file that was downloaded from Google Drive?

A ZIP file is simply a folder that contains all the files from the product you purchased and shrinks their file size down to enable a faster download. To access your purchased files in their original, full size and subsequently use them for printing, right click on the ZIP folder, select “Extract all”, and select the location the extracted files should be stored in. After extracting, you will notice that the sizes of the extracted files are much larger than the sizes of the files in the ZIP folder. The extracted files are the ones you need to use for printing. You will see that the name of each file shows the file's ratio (and number within the set if it is a wall art set), making it easy for you to select the file you want to print.

🖨️ FAQ 6: Where do I print my purchased digital wall art?

After having unzipped your digital files, you have three options to print them:
• Print the files yourself easily and instantly with your own printer. Depending on the quality of your printer, you may get a better print result with print options two or three below.
• Take or email the files to a local print shop such as Costco, Staples, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, Boots, Harvey Norman or Officeworks, and take the prints back home.
• Upload the files to an online print service such as Mpix, Nations Photo Lab, Shutterfly, Snapfish, Printique, Posterjack, Walmart or Photobox, and get the prints delivered to your doorstep.
For best print results, you should always use unzipped and uncompressed files for printing.

📄 FAQ 7: What type of paper should I use for printing?

If you don’t print your purchased digital wall art on a canvas or hard foam board or as a wall tattoo, you'll need to choose a type of paper for printing. The type of paper is really a personal choice and there are many great paper options for printing wall art and posters. In any case, you should choose quality paper for best print results. Matte paper will give the artwork a more natural feel, while semi-gloss or gloss will be more vibrant and saturated. However, bear in mind that semi-gloss and gloss paper will show some glare when looking at it at various angles. Personally, I prefer matte paper.

✨ FAQ 8: How can I make sure to print my digital wall art in high quality?

• I provide you with digital wall art files that are high-resolution (300 dots per inch (dpi)) and ready for printing. Please make sure you use files in their original size (unzipped and uncompressed) for printing. Prior to printing, the files should not pass any compression software or messenger apps.
• To make sure you get a good print result, you also need to choose a proper material to print on, such as good quality paper, canvas or hard foam board.
• Be aware that color outcome and quality may vary slightly depending on printer settings, inks used and material printed on.
• When you have your digital wall art printed by an online print service and delivered to your doorstep, check the packaging for damage upon arrival.

🖼️ FAQ 9: Where can I get frames for my digital, printable wall art?

If you don't print your purchased digital wall art on a canvas or hard foam board or as a wall tattoo, you'll want to frame it. I provide you most of the products in 5 different, common ratio files that can be printed in more than 40 sizes, so you're able to fit it in almost any sized frame. You can purchase frames for example from Amazon, your local IKEA, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Target, Kmart or any other homeware store, or from online framing services such as Framebridge, Nations Photo Lab or Snapfish. I personally like frames from IKEA, they are affordable, of good quality, easy to install and offered in a variety of sizes and finishes to choose from. My favorite frames are thin, elegant wooden frames with matte finish.

🔄 FAQ 10: Can I return, exchange or cancel a digital item I purchased?

For digital products, I do not accept returns, exchanges or cancellations, or offer refunds, given the digital nature of the purchase.
