Charming and delightful! Lots of glass in our house -- big panes and sliding glass doors that birds were always flying into -- and we took to hanging crystals and other beautiful things in the window so the birds would recognize it as a no-fly zone. This wonderful propagation station added a living element and a touch of whimsy. Beautifully sanded and oiled wood with and a creative and eye-catching design makes it perfect for any window space. Bringing the Outside In

I came to the States just over 3 years ago. I was working as a Game Ranger in my native South Africa when I met a woman who was vacationing at our game reserve with some friends. A bit over one year later I was married and adopting a new country. Our love story includes a love of nature and it was my wife's infatuation with living green walls that launched this shop. We are building Outside In to encourage people to live with nature, understand its rhythms and move more gracefully through this world. Our mission is to create beautiful pieces with locally source materials while making decisions that encourage a light carbon footprint. We are striving to do this personally and professionally and we hope our example will encourage and inspire others.
