Can’t Game Right Now? We’ve Been There.
It all started on a quiet evening in Cebu, Philippines, while the world was locked down and tabletop gatherings were a distant dream. I glanced over at my husband—Larry—hunched happily at the computer, doodling digital dragons, meeples, and dungeon maps to scratch his “I-wish-I-were-gaming” itch. Watching his art pile up on the hard drive felt like discovering a hoard of treasure with no adventurer to spend it—so I persuaded him to open an Etsy shop and share the loot.
That little nudge became TheDMsApprentice. At first we sold only digital downloads and print-on-demand shirts, letting players everywhere level up their game nights—even if we still couldn’t host any of our own. But when we moved back to the United States, a new quest unlocked: making physical goodies. One sticker cutter, a diode laser, and a trusty 3-D printer later, Larry’s sketches started leaping off the screen as vinyl stickers, laser-etched coasters, acrylic tokens, and chunky dice vaults.
Today Larry is still the “artist and technician,” conjuring designs faster than a wizard slinging cantrips, while I’m the “manager and boss,” steering social media, shipping every parcel with care, and (mostly) keeping my creative partner focused on the current quest instead of chasing the next shiny idea. Together we craft gear for DMs, board-game buffs, and war-gaming generals—anything that turns an ordinary table into an epic battleground.
Whether you’re stocking up on spell-slot stickers, hunting the perfect party-gift mug, or upgrading your terrain with a laser-cut centerpiece, we hope our creations add a dash of inspiration to your adventures. Thanks for joining us on this campaign—may your dice roll high and your imagination roll higher!
