Our Story
Where It All Began
ThreadXTheme was created by Nazia with a simple passion for creating distinctive clothing that people can make their own.
What started as a small creative venture gradually developed into a dedicated handmade clothing business. Our focus has always been on creating pieces that stand apart from ordinary mass-produced clothing — garments with character, careful detailing and the ability to be adapted to the person who will wear them.
Today, ThreadXTheme creates handmade clothing and costumes inspired by fantasy, medieval, gothic, steampunk, historical and alternative fashion.
Made by Our Team in Illinois
Every garment we offer is produced by our team in Illinois, USA.
Our pieces are made individually rather than simply taken from a mass-produced catalogue. Depending on the design, our team cuts, assembles, stitches and finishes each garment through a hands-on production process.
For custom and made-to-order pieces, we also work with the customer’s measurements and specifications so the finished garment can be made with their individual requirements in mind.
The People Behind ThreadXTheme
Nazia oversees ThreadXTheme and is involved in the creative direction, product selection, customer communication and development of our designs.
As the shop has grown, we have welcomed new members to our production team. Alisa and Eryn recently joined our team and work alongside our existing production team, contributing their skills to the construction, stitching and finishing of our garments.
We believe this is an important part of handmade work. Behind every finished garment are real people who have put time, skill and attention into creating it.
From Design to Finished Garment
Our process begins with the design and the details that make each piece distinctive.
Once an order is placed, we review the selected design, colour, size and any requested customizations. When a garment is made according to measurements, we carefully review the measurements provided by the customer before production begins.
The required materials are then prepared and the individual components are cut according to the design.
Our production team then stitches and assembles the pieces, adds the necessary hardware and details, and completes the finishing work.
Before an order leaves our workshop, we check the finished garment to make sure the requested specifications have been followed.
Why We Make What We Make
We love clothing that tells a story.
A medieval-inspired coat can make someone feel like they’ve stepped into another world. A gothic garment can become part of someone’s identity. A cosplay piece can help bring a character to life.
That’s what makes this work meaningful to us.
We’re not simply interested in producing another piece of clothing. We want to create garments that people are genuinely excited to wear — whether they’re attending a Renaissance faire, LARP event, cosplay convention, themed wedding, festival, performance or simply expressing their own personal style.

People often come to us with an idea that is slightly different from what’s shown in a photograph: a different colour, a different length, a particular fit or a small design change.
Whenever a customization is possible, we enjoy working through those details with the customer.
